Object Naming
· Every object in AD database is uniquely identifying the name that can be expressed in several forms.
· The naming conventions are based on LDAP standards.
· The distinguished name of an object consist of the name of the domain in which that object is located, plus path down the domain tree through container object to object itself.
· The part of an object's name that is stored in the object itself is called its Relative Distinguished Name (RDN).
· By specifying the name of the object and names of its parent contain up to the root of domain. The object is uniquely identified even if the object has same name as other object in different container.
